A Mad Tea Party in the Chair Orchard

Louis Vuitton’s 200th Birthday!! 4th August 2021

We’re beyond thrilled to have been invited to join the visionaries for Louis Vuitton‘s celebrations for their founder’s 200th birthday.
We were invited to use a ‘blank’ trunk to create a piece of art, so we couldn’t resist using it as a table for a “Mad Tea Party” from Alice in Wonderland. This is as a homage to Alice’s 150th birthday and the reimagining by Yayoi Kusama, as well as so many other artists over the years.
Amazing pictures by Chris Webb Photography
flowers by Ashleyhay Flower Farm, china tea set from FG’s Alice’s great-grandma & teapot from her grandma. Special mention for the cake-stands from Jacqueline Ferguson-Lee & Neil Ferguson-Lee.
So very grateful to the brilliant team at Louis Vuitton, for Li Edelkoort & Philip Fimmano for the introduction, to all our friends and supporters locally and Internationally.
Also special thanks to Deborah Porter for her encouragement and advice over the years. No room for all the teapots, which would normally include a Rare Tea Company teapot! Rachel Guest held our hands through the scariest parts.
