The Wiltshire Chair – Triptych

The Wiltshire Chair, in its various stages… This chair was grown in Gavin’s mother-in-law’s garden, and made from four Ash trees (Fraxinus excelsior – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fraxinus) grafted together. The methodology has changed, but the early success of this prototype & its grafts convinced us that this could be a viable production method.

This chair has been exhibited at Boijmans Museum in Rotterdam, and is due to return to Rotterdam, and then on to Berlin in summer 2016.
